Product & Usage
Matte Clay works for all hair types — straight, wavy, and curly. It's best on short to medium-length hair. For longer hair, use a small amount and focus on the ends for texture and shape.
Start with a thumbnail-sized amount — roughly the size of a dime. You can always add more, but starting small ensures you don't overload your hair.
Both work. For a more natural, textured look, apply to towel-dried hair. For stronger hold, apply to completely dry hair. We recommend towel-dried for most people.
Yes. Our matte clay is water-soluble — it rinses out completely with water. No harsh shampoos needed. One rinse and you're clean.
With daily use, a 3oz jar typically lasts 60–90 days depending on hair length and how much product you use per application.
Ingredients & Safety
Our Matte Clay is powered by kaolin clay, candelilla wax, jojoba seed oil, and argan kernel oil, which give you medium to strong hold, a natural matte finish, and nourished hair. No sulfates, no parabens, and it is vegan formula.
Yes. Our formula is free from harsh chemicals that strip color. Safe for color-treated, bleached, and chemically processed hair.

Orders ship within 1–2 business days. Standard shipping takes 3–5 business days within the US. Free shipping on orders over $30.

Returns & Refunds
We accepts returns and exchanges within thirty (30) days of delivery under the following conditions: Your jar, bottle or closure has been broken or damaged during transit You would like to return or exchange your unopened product(s)* *Applies to unopened, full-size hair care and hair styling products. The original shipping costs are non-refundable.
Email us at support@ridgecarver.com with a photo within 48 hours. We'll send a replacement at no cost — no need to return the damaged item.
